Summer Fishing With Ivan

Ivan equips you with quality rods and reels and all the tackle needed for your Mille Lacs fishing. Whether you are using spinner gear, slip-bobbers or crankbaits, Ivan furnishes all the gear, including live bait. Leave your tackle at home!

You'll be fishing in a nice 18 foot Lake Assault boat powered by a 90 hp. Honda outboard. Ivan uses a 350A Lowrance graph/GPS and a Si-Tex 106 Graph.

Trolling with crankbaits

Progressive mid-summer daytime trolling over deep areas! Fall under-the-moon night trolling on the reefs! Baitcasting rods and all crankbaits are furnished by Ivan. OVER 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH CRANKBAIT WALLEYES!

Mud flats and spinners

In June, July and August, one of the top methods at Mille Lacs is trolling with 3-way rigs and long-leadered    spinners baited with crawlers or minnows. Ivan is one of the lake's top spinner fishermen. This method of deep water fishing is fun and productive!

 Slip-bobbering on the reefs

Depending on wind and bite patters, your open-water trips with Ivan might include bobber watching on shallow reefs. Bobber fishing can occur any time from May to October, even in mid-summer. Walleyes fight in shallow water and it's real sport to battle them on the reef tops.

Northerns & Muskies

From July into October, Ivan offers special trolling trips for Mille Lacs' biggest fish-- muskies and northern pike. The use of trolling boards enables up to three passengers and guide to really "cover the waterfront" and keep lines comfortably apart.

Fish and enjoy a fun day!

You won't wear your arms out casting. And you don't have to worry about backlashes. Ivan runs the boat while you fish and enjoy a fun day!

You might be fishing any shore of Mille Lacs, depending on the bite and water conditions. No long and rough boat rides. Ivan trailers to the nearest landing
